Research published in the biomedical journal Molecular Therapy last week showed that a common-cold virus, bound with a particle mimicking cocaine, immunized lab mice against cocaine highs for 13 weeks. That's a long stretch for tests like this, and the result bodes well for addiction studies in larger animals and people. Eventually the approach could help open up new markets for drug companies."
