Sex workers outed in Suresh Nair murder trial The Australian: "daughter of a CEO, a media worker and five other women will be outed as former sex workers in court this week after a NSW magistrate rejected an application to have their names suppressed. The women have been called to give evidence at a committal hearing for wealthy Sydney neurosurgeon Suresh Nair who is facing charges of murder and manslaughter over the cocaine-overdose deaths last year of two high-end escorts.Victoria McIntyre, 23, and Suellen Domingues Zaupa, 22, both died in separate incidents in Dr Nair’s luxury apartment in Elizabeth Bay, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, in February and November last year respectively.
On the first day of hearings this morning, Crown prosecutor Kate Thompson sought to have the names of eight former and current sex workers suppressed, arguing the publication of their names would expose them to public embarrassment and could harm their personal relationships and careers."
